God is Amazing!

Never fight with God! You will always lose. I loss this week but that is how God works because when He is in control amazing things happen. This week at camp was quite different then last week. It took awhile for the presence of God to actually be felt. The devil had a bind on this camp but boy when God got through a changed lives it was so cool. See struggling teens just die out to God how cool is that. I go back to the busy life this week but am working on meeting with the teens more often. God is working in my life and I am so blessed to say that right now. I have made some new friends and have gained some amazing blessings. Seeing God change lives totally amazes me. It also amazing me of how many people are so close to experiencing God but fear holds them back. Don't let God so close that you are afraid to touch Him because He just might change your world. Enter into the presence of God today:)

Well, I am tired out. I just got back from being a counselor at Early Youth Camp and boy was it a great week. I am very tired but you know any time that you can experience God with your students is a great thing. God is great an He really made Himself real in these Junior Highers this week. The speaker talked about being Life Changers instead of World Seekers. He worked in my life as well this week. I am so blessed and proud of my youth. They are going to be challenged but life and God will see them through.

I do laundry and pack up once more for camp as next week is Senior High Camp and I will be a counselor. Late nights will still be there but great games and great services will come out of an entire week of praise. My God is so big and amazing. I love Him so much. I couldn't be blessed with a better and more chanllenging summer. Have a great day.

Wow, It has been a while since I have written. Well, summer is extremely busy but it is also such a blessing. I love working at the daycare with all of te wonderful little children as well as work with the youth and their fun filled ideas. It is nice to have a car for the summer even though it keeps having problems. I also enjoy hanging out with other college students at work and at church. Well, I better wrap this up. I need to go pick up a senior citizen in order to take her to the mission work done every Thursday. I hope everyone is having a wonderful summer. BYE!

How Big is your God?

This question was asked in the sermon on Sunday. There are a lot of changes taking place in my life right now and some of them are hard to handle at times but you know what God is always right by my side. I have been praying and wondering what I am going to do this summer. I work at a Christian daycare in Lansing, MI as the head teacher of the school age children in the summer. That is always a lot of fun but I wanted to do more this summer because a year from now I will be studying my spring semester at Brazilian Nazarene University and will be doing an internship for my major over there. Well I got to the point where I just left my summer plans in God's hands and He has blessed me with a job that I never would imagine myself doing. I have been asked to be the summer Youth Leader at Woodview Church of the Nazarene in Lansing, MI. This is way out of my comfort zone because I am so used to working with little kids instead of teens but you know God knows what he is doing. In chapel today Nate Hand made this statement "GOD HAS A PLAN, ALL WE NEED TO DO IS TRUST HIM." This is what I strive for each day. He worked my summer out and with His guidence I will face every challenge with God right next to me.My God is so big that through these tough changes I have been making I can feel his presence and see His hand at work all the way through. So I ask the same question to you today "How Big is your God?"

Don't forget to smile because everyday is worth living for.

New Orleans, LA: Spring Break

Just As

Just as three nails pierced the hands of our savior to save the world,

Three nails pulled out of a board saved a family in New Orleans a lot of money.

Just as rope held our savior on the cross and showed love,

Rope helped us clean up and show God’s love to a hurting city.

Just as wood supported our savior who suffered for us and giving us a brand new hope,

Wood cleared out of a neighborhood restored the hope of a New Orleans community.

Just as our savior’s life was to tell the good news,

Our lives are to be spent building relationships and sharing God’s grace and love to others.

Restoring Hope in New Orleans, LA   Spring Break 2007

“Finally, all of you should be of one mind, full of sympathy toward each other,

loving one another with tender hearts and humble minds.”

                                                1Peter 3:8

As I was thinking about this trip I was searching for my purpose of going and being in New Orleans, LA. I reflected on all that we did and how much of an impact we made on one community and wrote this poem. This sums up the whole trip and its meaning to me. I never knew how much cleaning up a neighbor's yard would make a difference. Well, I really enjoyed my trip and it was a true blessing.
